ZimaBoard 2 production progress updates and shipping schedule

Hello everyone! First of all, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to every backer for your support and patience with our project.

We fully understand that every detail in the production process is closely tied to your trust, which is why we have always insisted on sincere and transparent communication. Our goal is to keep you clearly informed about every step of the product’s progress.

Today, we are very pleased to share with you the latest updates on production and shipping arrangements. Should there be any changes in the future, we will inform you at the earliest possible time.

1. ZimaBoard 2 NAS Rack Final Design: Listening to Feedback
In our previous update, we shared the draft design of the ZimaBoard 2 NAS rack and received a wealth of valuable feedback. Some backers mentioned that they hoped the NAS rack could be made more convenient and user-friendly, while also expressing concerns about the difficulty of manual bending and the risk of paint surface damage. Our team took these opinions seriously and quickly initiated internal discussions and iterative adjustments.

The final design is as follows:

1. Integrated rack design, ready to use out of the box: Simplifies the installation process with no complicated assembly required, allowing for quick and easy setup.

2. Includes PCIe riser cable and built-in half-height PCIe card bracket: Ensures perfect compatibility for expansion card installation, supporting more customization options while enhancing flexibility and expansion potential.

2.Production Progress Update and Shipping Plan：
On the production side, our team and factory partners are working at full speed to ensure both product quality and timeline. Here are the latest updates:

1. First batch of ZimaBoard 2 PCBAs: Production has been completed and they are now entering the assembly preparation stage.

2. Enclosure production progress: The enclosures are currently in the surface finishing stage and are expected to complete all processes by August 19. We will ensure both dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

3. Assembly and testing phase: Once enclosure production is complete, we will move into a one-week assembly and testing period. A strict quality control process will be implemented, including component matching, functional testing, and durability checks, to make sure every ZimaBoard 2 meets high standards and lives up to user expectations.

4. Estimated shipping time:If production and testing proceed as planned, we expect to begin the first batch of shipments from late August to early September.

As factories enter the peak production season in the second half of the year, overall order volumes have increased significantly, making production schedules increasingly tight.

Currently, we expect the first batch of around 1,000 units of ZimaBoard 2 (1664 model) will be completed, covering the Mini NAS Kit / Smart Home Kit / Master Kit, which will be shipped progressively based on the order time on Kickstarter.

The remaining orders are also being expedited. While prioritizing quality, we will strive to complete all manufacturing and delivery as soon as possible, and we will continue to provide timely updates at every stage of the process.
