Each ZimaOS+ license is bound to a single device. This means your ZimaOS+ privileges cannot be activated on multiple devices at the same time under one license.
However, if you upgrade your hardware or need to replace your existing device, we provide a license transfer option. After your license has been active for at least one year, you can go to the Order Management page to unbind it from the old device and then re-activate it on a new one.
This ensures flexibility for users who upgrade their hardware while keeping the licensing system fair and secure.

ZimaOS is designed to work seamlessly across a wide range of hardware environments. Out of the box, it includes drivers for:
· Mainstream x86 platforms (Intel and AMD)
· Most SATA, NVMe, and USB storage controllers
· Popular network interface cards (NICs) commonly used in PCs and servers
· GPU support (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel) for hardware transcoding and AI workloads (varies by model and driver availability)
In general, if your hardware is supported by modern Linux kernels, it is very likely to be supported by ZimaOS as well. No. From day one, ZimaOS has promised zero telemetry and zero user data collection. Everything you do stays on your device. This commitment is openly stated in our privacy policy and reinforced by ongoing community oversight.

No. ZimaOS works entirely with local accounts. You don’t need to sign up with an email or phone number, and you can run the system completely offline. This ensures your personal data and account information are NEVER tied to any external service.
When you purchase a ZimaOS+ license, you will be asked to register an account. This account is used ONLY for managing your license purchase, order history, and activation. It has NO connection whatsoever to your ZimaOS usage, system configuration, or personal data.

ZimaOS provides high-performance remote access using encrypted peer-to-peer (P2P) connections. Unlike traditional solutions that expose public ports or rely on cloud relays, ZimaOS minimizes attack surfaces and keeps your data safe during transmission. No ports are left open to the internet by default.

No. When you buy Zima-branded hardware (such as ZimaBoard 2, ZimaCube, or future Zima devices), the ZimaOS license is included permanently. You will never be charged an additional fee for the operating system license. Your hardware purchase covers lifetime use of ZimaOS.
